Mrs. Maxine Kimmey, age 88, passed away early Thursday in Lexington. She was born December 19, 1931 in Lexington to the late Aubrey and Flora Pope Lipscomb. She was a homemaker and a member of Lexington First United Methodist Church. She married Curtis Kimmey on April 25, 1950, and they were married for 50 years prior to his death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Curtis Kimmey; twin sons, David and Daniel, one brother, Kenneth Lipscomb; and one sister, Pauline Stanfill. Survivors include her daughter, Debra Good (Dan) in Des Moines, IA; her son, Wayne Kimmey in Sterling, IL; two brothers, Bobby Lipscomb (Debby) in Scotts Hill, TN, and James I. Lipscomb (Nancy) in Memphis, TN, three grandchildren, Kristen Messenger (Billy) in Des Moines, IA, Kevin Good in Tulsa, OK, and Angie (Chris) in Hibbing, MN, and two great-grandchildren, Wesley and Emily in Hibbing, MN. The family has chosen cremation.
