Maxine Glenn Bergin, age 89, of Florence passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013. Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Kevin Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bergin was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence. She was a member of several bridge clubs, and was retired from Sterchis/Heilig Meyers with 43 years of service. Mrs. Bergin was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tolliver Dan Bergin; and her sister Verlon Honeycutt. Survivors include her daughter, Cyndi Bergin, twin sister Christine Fisher and husband Doyle, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express thanks Dr. Hobbs, Christy and Nancy for their wonderful care and to the entire staff of Summit Rehab Center for their love and care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund or any charity of your choice.
