Max L Lott – Obituary

Max L Lott, age 83 passed away October 24, 2012 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late William Raymond and Exie Morris Lott Bruce. He attended Chester County Schools. He entered the U.S. Army and served as a medic from 1948 until 1950 and married LaVerne Stanfill in 1949. After serving in the U.S. Army he served an enlistment in the TN National Guard. They made their home in the New Friendship Community for sixty three years of married life. He worked as a self employed carpenter and was an owner and operator, long haul trucker. He was a member of the Henderson Masonic Lodge and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Henderson.

He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Stanfill Lott of Henderson; two daughters, Mackie Vickrey and husband Bill of Germantown and Melinda Goodson and husband Mark of Jackson; three grandchildren, Grey Vickrey and wife Jennifer, Chris Melton and wife Heather and Tyler Goodson; three great grandchildren, Luke Melton, Katy Melton and Mackenzie Vickrey; a sister, Frances Potter of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Lott.
