Mavis Alice Elizabeth Snider Chambless, 83, of Double Springs, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Hendrix Health and Rehabilitation Center in Double Springs.
Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, in the parlor at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Nichols Lay Cemetery in Hamilton.
Mrs. Chambless was preceded in death by her father, William?Snider; mother, Delphi Harris Snider; sons, Jon David Chambless, Ronald Colvin and Rodney Colvin; sister, Mae Avery; brother, Bill Snider; grandson, Daniel Huffstutler; and granddaughter, Sherri Lynn Crumley.
She is survived by her husband, Billy J. Chambless Sr.; daughters, Melissa Pace and her husband, Dennis, Shona Colvin, Sharon Huffstutler and her husband, Roger, Deborah Becker, Marilyn Williams and Tina Fuller; sons, Glen Colvin, Billy Chambless Jr. and his wife, Rhonda, and Chad Chambless; sisters, Faye Boyles and Dolly Adams; brothers, Leonard Snider and Harold Snider; 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
