Funeral service for Mavene Hood, age 88, of Moulton will be 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Hood, Bro. Jonathan Prince, Bro. Keith Prince and Bro. Sawyer Hood officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the church. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hood, who passed away peacefully Friday, March 8, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 8, 1936, to Arthur and Mary Flannagin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Amos Hood, seven brothers, seven sisters, one grandchild Kris Hood and two great grandchildren Brody Simmons, Ivey Simmons.
Mrs. Hood was a faithful member of Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was a dedicated preachers wife who was always willing to put others needs before her own. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, quilting, crocheting and playing the piano. A devoted mother and doting Mamaw who was deeply loved.
