Mauveline “Mot” Carter Beasley Mauveline (Mot) Carter Beasley, 84, of Athens, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born on February 13, 1936 in Limestone County.
Due to COVID-19 there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 13 for family with David Cox officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Beasley is survived by her two sons: Brad Beasley (Monica), Brian Beasley (Heather). She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Ashley Beasley, Addison Beasley, and Mason Beasley.
She’s preceded in death by her husband, Robert Beasley; her parents, Johnnie and Dora Carter; one brother, Kenny Carter; and one sister, Mable Patterson.
Mot was a lifelong resident of Limestone County. She was a member of Market Street Church of Christ. She owned and operated Beasley’s Women’s Apparel in Athens for over 25 years.
Honorary Pallbearers will be John Carter, Gil Smith, Jason Camp, John Rutland, John Stewart, Bobby Tuner and Johnny Marks.
