Mauveline Juanita Hampton Gambrell Keener, age 83, of Lawrenceburg,TN passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at her residence. She was a native of Ethridge, TN, retired from the Lawrence County School System as a cafeteria worker, and of the Nazarene Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Annie Head Hampton; first husband, Hardin Gambrell; second husband, Ronnie Keener, and one nephew.
She is survived by one daughter, Anita Himes (Chad) of Summertown, TN; two brothers, Tommy Hampton (Dean) of Leoma, TN, and Charles Hampton of Lawrenceburg, TN; two nieces and two nephews; along with four grand-fur babies. Those serving as pallbearers are Tony Hampton, Wade Hampton, Brett Kelley, Darrell Skinner, Cody Kelley, and Adam Himes.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at Old Ethridge Cemetery, Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 1:30 PM, with Charles Hampton officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
