Maurine Nichols 89, of Elkmont,AL died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at her home.
Born Saturday, April 30, 1927 in Madison County, AL, she was the daughter of Harry Lee Hines Barnett and Willie Mae Robinson Barnett. she was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Willie Mae Harris and her husband,
William Edward Nichols. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and enjoyed flowers, her family and playing the harmonica.
She is Survived by Sons, Edwin Nichols, Ardmore, TN, and Michael W. (Melissa King) Nichols, Ardmore, TN, Daughters, Nancy (Jeff) Bottom, Elkmont, AL, Janet (Ray Turnage) Nichols, Ardmore, AL,and Michele (Don) Hinkle, Pulaski, TN, Special Friend and Caregiver, Darlene Mullins Elder, Ardmore, AL, 13 Grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Smith and Bro. Forrest Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery, Athens, AL.
