Maurice Blalock of Nashville Tennessee formerly of Hanceville, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 79. Mr. Blalock was born on June 5, 1942 in Cullman County to the late Dennis and Hazel Phillips Blalock. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Hazel Blalock; in-laws, Clarence and Lavondia Terry Hughes; nephew, David Blalock; brothers in law, Carl Rodenburg and William D. Kirkham; sister in law, Barbara Hamrick Blalock. He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Blalock; son, Brian Maurice Blalock and his wife Davette; grandchildren, Victoria and Lance Blalock; sister in law, Vivian Hughes; brothers, Delton and Dwight Blalock and his wife Suzette; sisters, Brenda Kirkham and Deanne Rodenburg; many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM which will be held in the Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Ted Blalock and Delton Blalock will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Blalock, Lance Blalock, Michael Cone, John Cone, Carter Smith and Tracy Haynes. Hanceville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
