Funeral service and Interment for Maudie Ruth Brown Wallace, 91, will be Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Graveside at Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Steven Barber officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and prior to the service from 9:30 10:30AM on Thursday, at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wallace died on Monday, April 17, 2023 at her residence. She was born November 16, 1931, in Lawrence County, to Thomas Walter Brown and Lula Maude McCormick Brown.
She was the manager of Cato’s in Hartselle, prior to her retirement. She loved to cook, was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She enjoyed fishing and loved her family dearly.
Preceding her in death were her husband: Tillman Wallace, brothers: Calvin Brown, Clifton Brown, J.D. Brown, Hubert Brown, Russel Brown, Robert Brown, Elmer Brown and Ray Brown, sister: Mavine Holt and her parents.
Survivors include:
Son – Truman Wallace (Jill) of Hartselle, AL
Daughter – Carolyn Wallace (Joel), Hartselle, AL
Sister – Ruby George, Manchester, TN
Five Grandchildren –
Heath Wallace, Brooke Reed (Josh),
Jessica Johnson (Kelly), Kirby Wallace-Woods (Patrick)
and Kaitlin Wallace.
Nine Great Grandchildren –
Tori, Madison, Taylon, Teagon, Aubrey,
Colby, Trenton, Dalton and Ashlyn.
Pallbearers will be Nephew, Grandsons and Great Grandsons:
Josh Reed, Colby Reed, Trenton Hart, Dalton Hart, Kelly Johnson
and Randy George.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Heath Wallace.
