Mattie Sue Pratt Marshall, age 86, passed away early Sunday, September 17, 2023 in Decaturville. She was born June 22, 1937 in Decatur County to the late Augustus and Wille Campbell Pratt. She was a retired Medical Records Tech at Maplewood Healthcare and received the ‘Caregiver of the Year” Award for the Jackson District in September 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Gilbert Marshall; her sister, Melba Pratt; her brother, Charles Pratt (Patsy) and one grandson, Chris Wallace. Survivors include her three sons, Timmy Wallace, Danny Wallace (Tammy), Billy Wallace; her daughter, Betty Sue Lewis (Roger); five grandchildren, Paul, Gus, Selena, Dewayne, and Christy; six great grandchildren, Kota, Bowen, Ada James, Jacob, Jackson, and Kenlie; and a host of friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12 PM, Wednesday, September 20, 2023, in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in Peace Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 10 AM – 12 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill.
