Mattie Raye Pace Bolton, age 72, Spruce Pine, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mattie worked for many years side by side with her husband at Bolton Furniture and enjoyed reading. She was a member of Quinn Memorial Church of Christ. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be missed by all.
The visitation will be 6- 8 p.m. today, Dec.12, 2015, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Arvie Dupey and Bro. Lonnie Oldag officiating. Burial will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years, Bobby Ray Bolton; daughter, Jennifer Bolton Bittinger (husband, Richard, Jr.); sisters, Doris Ann Andrews, Addie Faye Glasgow; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by parents, Louie & Mattie Pace; sister and brother-in-law, Velma and William Sillett; brother-in-law, Kenneth Andrews; and nephew, Mark Andrews.
