Mattie Lee Terry, age 86, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 at her residence in Somerville, Alabama.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Terry officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the chapel. Mrs. Terry will be laid to rest in Burningtree Memorial Gardens in Decatur, AL following the service.
Mrs. Terry was born in Kentucky on August 28, 1937 to John and Rhoda Smith Brittian. She was an Assembler by trade for the Chrysler Corporation for many years. Mattie lived life to the fullest and found joy in spending time with her family and friends. She loved to laugh and having company visit to share a laugh or two with her.
Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and a sister.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Preston Terry; sister, Deloris Mauk; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Shelton Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
