Matthew ‘Matt” Lowery, 18 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, February 28th, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Lowery was born on April 8th, 2002 to Jim R. Lowery, Sr. and Shirley Albais Lowery.
Mr. Lowery is survived by father Jim R. Lowery, Sr.; mother Shirley Albais Lowery of Athens, AL; brother Jim R. Lowery, Jr. (Tasha) of Big Bear Lake, CA; sisters Amanda R. Lowery of Trinity, AL, and Nikki Lyn Lowery of Boise, ID; and fiancé Ashton Smith.
Memorial service for Mr. Lowery will be Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 5:00 pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Alan Ostrzycki will be officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday at 3:00 pm-4:50 pm.
Mr. Lowery loved basketball, soccer and was a graduate of Elkmont High School.
