Mr. Matthew ‘Matt” Alan Timberlake, age 40, of Arab, Alabama passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in Albertville, AL. Matt was born February 6, 1983 in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, the son of Alan Dean Timberlake and Dana Pauline Bennett Timberlake. He was a Christian and attended the non-denominational services at Stay Free Ministries. Matt owned and operated Done Right Pro Service, a successful and growing handyman service. He was a self appointed leader and protector, be it with friends, family or strangers waiting to be friends. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his three children and extended family members. He spent quality time sharing outdoor activities and camping. He was a practical joker and enjoyed making people relax and laugh. He loved to cook and was pretty good at it. He also enjoyed his gym membership and was determined to build up his strength and muscle.
Matt is survived by a loving family which includes his mother and step-father, Dana Timberlake and Patrick Smith; fiancé, Felicia Maddux; sons, Mason Timberlake and Alex Walter; daughter, Alaina Lee Timberlake,; sister, Samantha “Sam” Timberlake; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Alan Dean Timberlake.
Services for Matt will be 1:00 pm Friday, January 12, 2024 at Stay Free Ministries, 433 11th Street SW, Arab, AL 35016. A visitation for friends and family will be prior to the service between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Brother Rick Laster will officiate. Pallbearers escorting Matt to his final resting place in Arab Memorial Cemetery will be J.R. McCain, Jamie Griffin, John Hubbard, Lance Droze, James Hubbard and Josh Ballew.
