closer to her daughter’s family. The Morris family will be forever grateful to the church
community and neighbors who supported Mattelyn during her struggle with ALS in the final
chapter of her life.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Wood Jackson; mother, Tommie McClure
Jackson; and sister, Alice Costello.
Mattelyn is survived by her husband, Alan David Morris; son, Dr. Cody Jackson Morris
(Alice); son, Seth David Morris (Lindsey); daughter, Caroline M. Crackel (Ed Crackel III); as
well as her grandchildren Lily and Miles Crackel, Lucy and Jack Morris.
A service will be held at First Baptist Church Huntsville, Wednesday 3/24/2021 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Mattelyn’s name to the Huntsville
Botanical Garden.
