Our beautiful Matalyn Brooke Brandon, age 24 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Friday August 16, 2024 in her home. Matalyn was born on Tuesday November 23, 1999 in Scottsboro, AL. She was a creative young lady with a brilliant mind. She was aspiring for a bachelors in nursing. She loved her son Jonah Furlong with her entire heart. Matalyn was very funny and kept everyone laughing all the time. She loved to help others. Matalyn got saved April 14, 2024 and was so excited to have a relationship with God.
Matalyn was preceded in death by her father, Kevin Littles, step father, Joshua Fountain; grandparents, Richard Littles and Pat Brandon.
She is survived by her son, Jonah Lee Furlong; parents, Noma and Russell Roberts; brother, Cameron Fountain; grandmother, Lema Smothers and Randi Ball (Michael Ball); grandfather, Wayne Roberts and Kimmie Fountain; aunts, Nitosha Brandon, Jennifer Fountain, Mary Ellen Clark (Steve), and Lisa Brandon (Tracey Smothers). She leaves behind many loved ones.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2024 at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Matalyn will lie in state Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. August 20, 2024 with funeral at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rickey Bell and Bro. Scott Cooley officiating. No graveside to follow.
