Funeral Mass for Marylou Surprenant Bourrell, 76, will be Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison, with Father Bryan Lowe officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. A private interment will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery.
Mrs. Bourrell passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Hospice Family Care. She was born February 12, 1948, in Kankakee County, Illinois, to Lionel Reme Surprenant and Mary Louise Fortin Surprenant. She was a former resident of Laurel, MS where she was employed by the South Central Regional Hospital, and also worked for Forest General as a scheduler and and had been a bookkeeper for many years. in Laurel, Mississippi, as an Office Clerk, prior to her retirement. She was married to the love of her life, Gerald L. Bourrell, Sr. since January 27,1968.
She was preceded by a daughter; Roseanne Smith, her parents, and a brother; Lionel “Lonnie” Surprenant.
