Mary W. Burfield, 67, passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at her residence.
Mrs. Burfield lived most of her life in Franklin County and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was retired from Lifeway Christian Resources.
The funeral service will be at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, at 2 p.m., with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens. Officiating will be Jerome Sherrill and Eddie Wix. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until service time.
Survivors include her husband, Hoyt W. Burfield; children, Crystal Burfield Bowen (Woody) and Hoyt W. Burfield Jr.; brother, John (Johnny) Wood (Mary Leigh); sister, Gwendolyn Ann Bailey (Donald Ray); grandchild, Arlyn Bowen; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. Wood, Jr. and Frannie Vinson Wood.
The family would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama for their excellent care.
