Mary V. Childress – Obituary

Mary V. Childress was born in Lincoln County Tennessee in 1926 and moved to Huntsville at age 3. She grew up in the Lincoln Mill area. She died June 13th.

After graduating from Lincoln High School she worked at Sterchi Furniture, John Blue and TARCOG.
She was a member of Memorial Southern Methodist Church. Mary will be remembered for her kind and gentle manner, sense of humor, singing voice, love of music, memory, quick wit, and love of God and family. Mary appreciated the kindness and support from friends and staff at Harbor Chase. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Addie and William Childress, five sisters, Janet Parker, Robbie Hunter, Pauline Russell, Ann Hamby, and Sallie Inman.
She is survived by three nieces, two nephews, and sister, Mabel Thompson.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2pm Tuesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2pm at Laughlin Service Chapel. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
