Mary Tutor Salyers, 84, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at her home in Pontotoc. She enjoyed working in the garden, horses, cars, and dogs, and the outdoors planting flowers and shrubs. She was a seamstress for 32 years and enjoyed sewing for the public and meeting new people. A God-fearing lady she loved attending church for several years at Victory Baptist Church then later at Harvest Time Church of God.
Survivors include her three daughters, Beckey McGloflin (Tony), Betty McMillen (Donnie), and Beverly Willard (Michael McDaniel); two brothers, Kermit “Red” Tutor (Ann) and Donnie Tutor; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and her cat, Tippy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Salyers; her son, Michael Long; mother, Sadie Tutor; brother, Joe Long; father, Dalton Tutor; and her dog, Joesy.
Services will be Sunday, 2PM, Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. David Hall officiating. Visitation will begin at 12PM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Victory Baptist Church Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Luther Dillard, Cory Long, Isaac Andrews, Christopher Moss, Dalton McDaniel, and Daniel Scott.
