Mrs. Mary Sue Glaze, 79, of Florence, passed away Saturday November 10, 2012, at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be 6pm until 9pm Monday at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2pm Tuesday in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brothers Hosea Smith and Bobby Vandiver officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Glaze, Todd McKinney, Zach McKinney, Eric Fisher, Bryan Fisher and Garry Watson. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Comer.
Mrs. Glaze had been a resident of Lauderdale County since the age of 15 and was a member of the Tuscumbia Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She was the former owner of R & S Variety in Petersville for many years.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Jim Sandy and Mattie Jenkins Sandy; brother, Ernest Sandy; sisters, Tinnie Mae Johnson, Louise McDonald, Lizzie Robertson and Lois Bogus. She is survived by her husband, Robert Glaze; son, Robert Glaze, Jr.; daughters, Angela June Hines, Pam Cox, and Renee Fisher; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
