Mary Sue Banister, 80 of Holly Pond passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024. She was born April 22, 1944, in Madison County the daughter of John Woodall Dilworth and Iova Stone Dilworth. She was married to Bertis Lee Banister who passed away October 12, 2001. She was retired from the Arab Wal-Mart and was a member of Lystra Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by a brother: Jerry Dilworth; stepson: Rodney (Lori) Banister; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Bert Banister; parents: John and Iova Dilworth; siblings: Irma Shaneyfelt, Wanda Ruth Shasteen, Howard Ray Dilworth and Shirley Blankenship.
Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Gober Funeral Chapel. The burial will be in Eidson Chapel Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: Jerry Dilworth, Johnathan Dilworth, J.J. Shasteen, Hunter Shasteen, Howard Cagle and Eddy Cagle.
