Mary Ruth Orange Swims, age 80 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away March 22, 2023. She was a member of Philadelphia Deliverance Tabernacle.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Gary Lackey officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis No. 1 Cemetery. Tyler Bridgeman, Mark Harris, Bryan Harris, Terry Strickland, Kyle Woods and Seth Orange will serve as pallbearers.
Ms. Swims is survived by her children, Douglas Orange, Rita Cook, Mike Orange and Tim Bridgeman; brother, Johnny Harris; sisters, Wanda Hulsey and Sally Crick.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lester Lockhart; mother, Edith Ilene Nix; first husband, Joseph Mike Orange; second husband, Gene Swims; daughter, Margerte Ann Bridgeman; son, Roland Keith Cook; brothers, Jerry and Billy Rex Harris; and sisters, Jo Pfalzgraf and Wilma Sue Strickland.
