Mary Robison – Obituary

Mary Robison, 70, quietly passed away at her home in Cleveland Heights on Sept. 7, 2012.
Born and raised in Florence, Mary’s parents were Sam and Louise Robison. She is survived by her sister, Virginia Hance, her cousins, Liz Bumpus and Fran Creighton, and her large circle of close friends.
A National Merit Scholar, Mary received her college education at Vanderbilt University and her master’s degree in creative writing from Cleveland State. She pursued pre-medical coursework at Case Western University, where she was also employed as a medical editor. Mary lived for a brief period in London, as well as Sarasota, Fla., and spent most of her adult life in Cleveland.
Mary was gifted with creative writing and artistic talents and she treasured her friendships in several creative writing groups. She had a lifelong interest in yoga and made several trips to India, where she practiced yoga and studied Eastern philosophy. She was known for her warm and generous nature and her quick sense of humor. There was nothing that Mary enjoyed more than a long, personal conversation with a close friend.
