Mary Pauline “Polly” Smallwood, 78, of Tuscumbia, AL passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Kirk Bishop will be officiating.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Flora McBrayer; sister, Lily Jeffreys; In-laws, Wallace and Edna Smallwood; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Jeffreys, Loren McBrayer, and Claudie Byrd.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wallace Oneal Smallwood of Tuscumbia, AL; sons, Mike Smallwood of Tuscumbia, AL and Barry Smallwood (Laura) of Leighton, AL; sister, Christine Byrd of Tuscumbia, AL; grandchildren, Colton Smallwood of Huntsville, AL and Savannah Smallwood of Muscle Shoals, AL.
Pallbearers will be Greg Jeffreys, Victor Byrd, Tommy McCrory, Mike Taylor, Albert McGuyer, and Austin Rainey.
