Mary Nell Jones McIntyre age 73 passed away March 11, 2016 at her home.
She was born January 2, 1943 in Chester County, the Montezuma Community, the daughter of the late John Andrew and Fannie Whitman Jones. She attended school at Montezuma and married Billy Joe McIntyre in 1960. They lived in Nashville a few years and then in Texas several years and moved back to Tennessee in 1978. They made their home at Finger the last twenty years.
Mrs. McIntyre is survived by her husband, Billy Joe McIntyre of Finger; a son Billy Paul McIntyre of Finger; two daughters, Carolyn Sanders and Sandra Warren both of Medon; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard Lee McIntyre, Sept. 30, 2001, five brothers, Paul Jones, Raymond Jones, Robert Jones, Glen Jones and Jessie Jones and also five sisters, Francis Ervin, Lorraine Garner, Kathryn Ziegler, Irene Hatch and Lena Sain.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 14, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Charles Jeter officiating. Burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday.
