Funeral service for Mary Nell Evans, 66, of Falkville, will be Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Hines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hartselle. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Evans passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at her residence. She was born December 2, 1957, in Morgan County, to Joseph Franklin Holmes, Jr. and Nelda Dunaway Holmes.
Mary Nell worked as a Banker for more than 37 years. She was started her career with Citizen’s Bank of Hartselle and remained with the bank through several name changes, ultimately retiring from Wells Fargo. She was a member of Hartselle Church of Christ. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers-in-law: Michael Rose, Steve Evans, and Charlie Rogers.
