Mrs. Mary Nell Ehrett, age 85 of Bolivar, departed this life Friday morning, September 20, 2013 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Ehrett was born in Hardeman County, Tennessee August 14, 1928 to the late Daniel Wesley and Patty Goff Jackson. On March 11, 1944, she was united in marriage to Mr. Hughlon T. Ehrett and the two of them owned and operated the former restaurant “Frostyland” in Bolivar. She also worked as a homemaker and as a clerk at Mapco. In 1998, Mr. Ehrett preceded her in death after 54 years of marriage.
Among her hobbies, she enjoyed gardening, sewing and spending time at the Bolivar Senior Center. Having lived in Memphis for 13 years, she was a former member of the Sycamore View Church of Christ. However, in recent years, she was a member of the Bolivar Church of Christ.
Survivors include her two sons, Houston Ehrett and wife Carol of Somerville and Robin Ehrett and wife Linda of Jackson; sister, Annie Mae Jackson of Bolivar; brother, Dorsey Jackson of Bolivar; granddaughter, Tracy Ehrett; and grand-pups, Mattie and Suzie.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Wesley Jackson, Jr.
