Mary Millicent “Millie” Steelman, 88, of Harvest, passed away Wednesday. A native of Henry County, TN, she was a resident of the Huntsville area for over 60 years. Millie retired from Redstone Arsenal. She was a charter member of Asbury United Methodist church and was currently a member of Ford’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell W. Steelman. Survivors include her son, Chad Walters and wife, Jeanne Renfro Miller of Toney; stepson, Dewayne Steelman of Huntsville; and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow in the chapel with the Rev. Emmanuel Busambwa officiating. There will be a private graveside service.
