Mary Margaret Tipton graduated from Madison County High School  in 1954 and attended Auburn University.  Our Dad got out of the Air Force and they married shortly after at the Gurley Methodist Church.   She was an avid bridge player and was in several bridge clubs in the area.  She also was a member of the Gurley Methodist Church for her entire life.  She was a homemaker most of her early years staying home to raise 4 children.  She volunteered at the school as a Red Cross Lady.  She ran her kids around to the pool and sports for many years.  After the children got older she decided to go back to work.   She retired from Union Planters Bank and enjoyed even more bridge playing!

Mary Margaret loved cooking and gardening.  She was an excellent cook.  She loved 5th Sunday dinners at the church.  She loved the town of Gurley and volunteered for various activities with the town including the Gurley Historical Society and many things at the church.
