Mary Lynn Belk DeHart, 73, transformed from this life to the next on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from her daughter’s residence west of Shannon. Mary was born on November 29, 1950, in Jasper, AL. She was soon adopted by her late parents, Carl Davis and Mary Lou Belk. She grew up in Tupelo attending the public schools. She spent many years as a bartender in the hospitality industry working in Tupelo, Memphis, Tunica, and Paragould, AR. She returned to Tupelo and worked many years as a paralegal, bookkeeper for the late legendary attorney Jimmy Doug Shelton, and retired there. Mary was an interesting, independent, fun-loving lady! She loved talking to others, arts and crafts, especially making jewelry for her family and friends, crocheting, and constantly reading books.

There will be no public services. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve their friends. Condolences for the family may be left on Mary’s tribute page at www.hollandfuneraldirectors.com.

Mary was the mother of 4 children, twins Randall (deceased) and Richard Payne of Texas, Regina Schukuecht, and Michael Kessner, both of Okolona; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a sister, Robbie Belk Blount Chenault of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Davis and Mary Lou Belk, and her son, Randall.
