Mary Love Brown Thomas, 77, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday. Mrs. Thomas was a 1961 graduate of Judson College, and graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham with a Master’s degree in Library Science. She and her husband Charles Thomas celebrated 50 years of marriage in July 2016 before his death in August of the same year. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Alzie Mae Brown, and her sister, Ginger Calhoun.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Thomas Powell (Stephen) and Kathryn Thomas Roach; grandchildren, Daniel Powell, Kate Powell, Sarah Roach and Suzanne Roach; brother, Lawrence Brown, Jr.; sisters, Jeanette Wood, Louise Brown, Sally Brown and Rachel Brown; and well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Guntersville.
