Mary Louise Gardner Stephens, 73, of Fort Payne, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at her home. She was born December 20, 1950 in Dade County, Georgia, to the late Quinton Gardner and Mary Fay Roberts Gardner. Louise enjoyed bowling with her friends, working on the DeKalb ARC ice cream truck, and playing baseball with the Outfield Angels. She also enjoyed dressing up and attending the annual Tim Tebow’s Night to Remember.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Mt. View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
She is survived by her cousins Michael Gravitt and wife Patti (Wyatt, Kayla, Kassie), Melody Hanner and husband Jeremy (Jordan), Step Daughter Janet Owens ; very special caregivers Tammy, Nikki, Angie, Anna, Moriah, Hailey; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband William Stephens.
