Louise-Hemby-1455631732Mary Louise Burns Hemby age 71 passed away February 15, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born July 1, 1944 in Hardeman County, the daughter of the late William Grady and Nora Lee Borders Burns. She attended schools in Hardeman County and worked in several garment factories and nursing homes. She also worked at the M & M Truck Stop. She was married to James Hemby and Mr. Hemby passed away in 2011. She was a member of the Pinson Church of God.

Mrs. Hemby is survived by two daughters, Virginia Mosier and Barbara Sue Johnson both of Henderson and two sons, Sterling Johnson and Rick Johnson both of Henderson; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Wyatt and Kathy Farris both of Selmer and two brothers, Eugene Burns and Jimmy Burns both of Henderson.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Rev. Luke Holley with Danny Mosier. Burial will follow in Big Springs Cemetery at Pinson, TN.

The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday.
