Mary Lou Wenner Krieger, mother, wife, daughter, friend, and nana passed peacefully from this world on February 3, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on February 22, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA. She traveled the world, lived and raised her family in Lawrenceburg, TN and called Millington, TN home for the past 8 years.
Throughout her life, Mary Lou has been dedicated to the pro-life cause. She has been honored by Tennessee Right to Life organization for her many years of advocacy on behalf of the pro-life cause. In 2002, Krieger was awarded the group’s inaugural Lifetime Advocate Award in recognition of her commitment and leadership in promoting the protection of human life. In 2013, Mary Lou was again honored when Tennessee’s oldest and largest pro-life organization announced that the annual award would be officially renamed the Mary Lou Krieger Lifetime Advocate Award.
Her efforts to support the pro-life cause continued in her late 70s and early 80s. Mary Lou volunteered her time at Confidential Care for Women, a crisis pregnancy center. The center provides services, financial support, and counseling to pregnant mothers and children through the age of two.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 6 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Neal Funeral Home located at 231 North Military Avenue in Lawrenceburg, TN. The Rosary Service will take place from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Neal Funeral Home on February 6 and will be officiated by Fr. Joseph Mundakal. Fr. John Kirk will perform Mary Lou’s funeral mass on Friday, February 7 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 222 Berger Street in Lawrenceburg, TN. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
