A Celebration of Life service for Mary Lou Cupples, 70 of Walnut, MS, will be Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 2:00 P M at Hatchie Chapel Church with interment to follow in Hatchie Chapel Church Cemetery. Bro. Doc Shelton and Bro. Jeremy Shelton will officiate the service. Visitation will be Monday, March 13, 2023 from 5:00 P M to 9:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East and Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 12:00 P M until service time at Hatchie Chapel Church. Mrs. Cupples passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Diversicare of Ripley. She was born March 27, 1953 in Kenosha, WI to Milton Allen Blades and Vera Wayne Shelton Blades Hopkins. She was a housekeeper and of the Pentecostal faith. She loved collecting angels and crosses, cooking, playing bingo and being with her family. Mary is survived by her sons, David Jones and wife Melinda, Allen Jones and Clinton Jones and wife Michelle; 7 grandchildren, J.T. Jones (Brooke), Austen Jones (Mallory) Kendrick Jones, Courtney Barber (Presley), C.J. Jones, Tessie Jones and Josie Foster; 2 great grandchildren, Matthew Barber and Mason Barber; her sisters, Elizabeth Sanderson (Tommy) and Janet Lee Blades; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by father, Milton Blades; her mother Vera Hopkins; her brother, Milton “Jr.” Allen Blades II and her sister, Deborah Sue Cobb. Pallbearers will be Jake Bates, Kendrick Jones, C.J. Jones, Davon Shelton, J.T. Jones and Presley Barber. Honorary pallbearers will be Austen Jones, Mason Barber and Matthew Barber. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mary Lou Cupples.
