Mary Lorene Whitt, 67 of Toney, Alabama died on Monday, April 15, 2013, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Friday, November 30, 1945 in Summersville, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Young and the late Doretha Summers Young. She was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, cross stitching, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: James Thomas Whitt.
Surviving are son, James A. (Kellie) Whitt of Toney, AL, daughter, Michele Lynn (Jamie) McKinley of Toney, AL, brother, John Young, sisters, Ruby Young and Artie Smith, grandchildren: Alexander, Tyler and Colin Whitt, and James and William McKinley.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 19, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Tony Boyles officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
