Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lenora Rice, age 84, will be held at 12 PM on Monday, March 9, 2020 in the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Sumner and Joey Hufstedler officiating. Burial will follow in Center Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday for 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rice passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church of 63 years and retired from Porter Cable in Jackson, ITT in Milan and Kellwood in Trenton and Rutherford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oddist and Mary Tyner; a sister, Shirley Wray; a brother, Robert Tyner; and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Powell Rice.
Mrs. Rice is survived by her husband of 67 years, Milburn Rice; a son, Keith Rice of Milan; a granddaughter, Heather Rice of Milan; a sister, Imogene Casey (George) of Trenton; two brothers, Austin Tyner (Glenda) of Medina and Charles Tyner (Doris) of Trenton; and a sister-in-law, Sue Tyner of Dearborn, MI.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Ingram, Robert McDaniels, Richard Miller, Don Thompson, Michael and Starr Wofford.
