Mary Lee Steele, age 82 of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born on October 25, 1939, in Belvidere to the late Jessie Lee and Mary Maranda (Sims) Bradford. A dedicated homemaker, Mary Lee cherished spending time and taking care of her beloved family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when she could. She always had an open-door policy at her home and will be remembered for her loving and caring nature. Mary Lee was a member of the Christian Tabernacle in Decherd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Steele; daughter, Virgie Mae Southcutt; granddaughter, Allison Steele; siblings, Wesley Bradford, Junior Bohannan, Johnnie Bradford, Douglas Bradford, Nancy Jacks, Dorothy Jacks, Helen Steele, and Edith Bradford. Mary Lee is survived by her loving children, Lisa (Jimmy) Wiseman of Winchester, Larry (Doris) Steele of Winchester, Monroe (Kelly) Steele of Lynchburg, Connie Steele of Winchester, Marie Steele of Winchester, and Ricky Steele of Winchester; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; caregiver, Melissa Troutt; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro.
