Mary Kate Mayfield, 91, of Tuscumbia, AL, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at Mt Moriah Baptist Church in Spring Valley, with a service to follow. Guy Estave will be officiating. Burial will be in Mt Moriah Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Rockye Lenz; husband, Delmar Mayfield; son, Jeffrey Mayfield; daughter-in-law, Carol Mayfield; brothers, Willard, James, Ruby, and Johnnie Lenz; sisters, Edna Lenz, Racine Pace, and Shirley Mitchell.
She is survived by her son, Del Mayfield; daughter, Laura Henson (David); brother, Ricky Lenz; sisters, Gail Murray and Kathleen Vandiver; daughter-in-law, Melissa Baker Mayfield; grandchildren, JoAnna Steinke (Jesse), Tyler Henson (Jackie), Katelyn Mayfield, Kelsey Mayfield; and the mother of Jeffrey’s children, Darlene Mayfield.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Beard, Ray Counts, Troy Fisher, Tyler Henson, Jason Lenz, and Jesse Steinke. Honorary pallbearer JoAnna Steinke.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude, Mt Moriah Baptist Church, or your favorite church or charity.
