Mary Joyce Wooten, 89, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Terrace Manor, Russellville, AL. She was born in Alabama to James Bent and Ada Ross Horton. She was retired from Piggly Wiggly as a cashier and was a member of Pilot Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Services will be Tuesday, September 26, 1 p.m. at Pilot Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Lentz officiating. Burial will be in Pilot Hill Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two sons – Ronnie Wooten (Anna) and David Wooten; three grandchildren – Matthew Wooten (Natalie), Cody Wooten (Leah) and Daniel Wooten; five great-grandchildren – McKenna, Cutter, Deacon, Lexi and Annabeth; three sisters-in-law – Doris Williams (Lowell), Jeannine Wooten and Faye Nell Wooten and brother-in-law– Rayford Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cluston Wooten; her parents and siblings, Lillian Gober (Carlton), Shirley Campbell, Ross Horton (Louise) and Hurtis Horton.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Pilot Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
