Mary Joyce Snider

A celebration of life for Mary Joyce Snider, 82, better known as “Nonnie” to her family, will be held at Iron City Baptist Church on April 7, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 2:00. Sue Woerner, Cody Hale and Eric Snider will speak at the service.

Joyce was born to Melvin and Ollie Walker on March 28, 1942, in Cleburne County. She married William Franklin Snider on June 4, 1958, and lived in Calhoun County the remainder of her life.

Joyce worked at Sewell Manufacturing, Moore Business Forms, and Greenway Plants. She was co-owner of PJs Country Curtains. She was a member of Iron City Baptist Church and the Angel Ministry. She was a great cook and enjoyed sewing.

She is survived by her three children, Tammy Snider Chapman, Tony Snider (Robyn), and Lane Snider. Three grandchildren, Jill Chapman, Blake Snider (Jessica), Rachel Snider Mashburn (Tyler) and two great-grandchildren, Halli and Jake Snider. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Woerner (Larry).
