Mrs. Mary Joyce Harmond Allison, 87, longtime resident of Lewisburg, died on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Williamson Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 3rd at 3:00 pm at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
A Marshall County native, she was born on September 25, 1934 to the late Willie Lee Harmond and the late Mamie Kate Sharp Harmond. Joyce was a retired employee of Peoples & Union Bank. She later served as a board member of the Marshall County Chapter of the American Heart Association and was a longtime member of the Republican Women of Marshall County. She loved music, dogs, flowers, antiquing, and researching genealogy. Above all, her greatest love was for her grandsons. Mrs. Allison was a devoted member of East Commerce Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Allison Fox of Brentwood; and grandchildren, William Allen Fox and James Thomas Fox.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Ewing Allison; sister, Annie Lee Haislip; brother, Edd Harmond; and son-in-law, William Thomas Fox.
