Mary Jane Sisk, age 79, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at NHC Healthcare of Scott in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Birmingham, AL, retired Vice-Principal from Lawrence County High School, a member of Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church and the Lawrence County Retired Teachers Association. She was also a lifelong Alabama fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Pete and Margaret Elizabeth Gray Cargo; and her husband, Jimmy Douglas Sisk.
She is survived by one daughter, Beth Baize of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Scott Sisk of Lawrenceburg, TN; two grandsons, Rob Baize (Bethany Runions Baize) of Charlotte, NC and Ben Baize (Taylor Watson Baize) of Leoma, TN; and one brother, Bob Cargo (Marianne McElveen Cargo) of Baton Rouge, LA.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, April 19, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 20, 2021, with Chad Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to the Lawrence County Public Library or the Lawrence County Animal Shelter.
