Mary Jane CoxMary Jane Qualls Cox age 76, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Crestview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Harmony Baptist Church with Bro. Bennie Morrison officiating. Burial to follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation for the Cox family will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Harmony Baptist Church. Mrs. Cox was born in Haywood County, Tennessee on December 1, 1944 to the late Henry Qualls and Louise Haynes Qualls. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church and worked in sales for Cargill & Russ Dunn for many years. She was often described as a very caring lady. She loved to dance and travel. She also enjoyed gardening and yardwork. She found great pleasure in spending time in taking walks as well as, spending time with her cat, Precious, and her dog, Brandy. Family was important to her and she loved her son and grandchildren dearly. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Charles Cox of Somerville, TN; one son: David E. Davis (Tina) of Braden, TN; one stepson: Charles Randall Cox of Somerville, TN; one stepdaughter: Kimberly Ann Krosp of Somerville, TN; one brother: Billy Ray Qualls of Brownsville, TN; three sisters: Mattie Marlar of Bells, TN, Ruth Vestal of Brownsville, TN, and Betty Marie Davis of Somerville, TN; She leaves a legacy of two grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Louise Haynes Qualls; five brothers, Melvin Qualls, Floyd Qualls, Oliver Qualls, George Qualls and Henry Qualls; one sister, Virginia Williams, and one step-daughter, Mary Elizabeth Tucker. Pallbearers for the service are Justin Davis, Matthew Krosp, Chris Mullins, Wayne Qualls, Greg Davis and Ken Marlar. In lieu of flowers the Cox family requests that memorials be made to the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Judy Hardister, 523 Monroe Street, Brownsville, TN 38012. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
