Jan Pierce Profile Photo Mary Jane “Jan” Pierce, 61, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at her home.  She was born in Tupelo on April 7, 1962, to Carroll and Retha Kennedy.  She grew up in the Nettleton area and she married the love of her life, Robert Pierce, on May 18, 1979.  Jan was an avid reader, and she was retired after working more than 25 years at Action Industries.  She loved her grandbabies beyond measure and supported them in sports and in the band.  Known as his Junebug, she and Robert loved fishing and going to yard sales.  Jan was an excellent cook and was the rock of her family.  She was a member of the Independent Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Nettleton.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Larry Monaghan officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Hope (Coontail) Cemetery.

In addition to her husband of 44 years, Robert DeeWayne Pierce, she is survived by; grandson and the son of her heart, Brayden Pierce of the home; daughters, Jennifer Harlow (Ben) of Amory, Christy Carroll (Tony) of Amory, and Candace Pierce (Ken) of Fulton; sisters, Kathy Zappa (Jess), Suzy Baugh (Severino), and Carol Seger (Ronald); grandchildren, Drew Harlow, Lane Carroll, Peyton Carroll, Grey Harlow, and Tripp Allen; special sister-in-law, Dean Reeves; and special friends, Larry and Nancy Monaghan, Gary Monaghan, Sherrell McCrory, and Becky Hammock.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her father and mother-in-law, Felix and Sarah Pierce.

Pallbearers will be Drew Harlow, Lane Carroll, Grey Harlow, Ronald Seger, Brayden Pierce, and Jerry Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be Tripp Allen and Mitch Holliman.

Visitation will be on Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
