Mary Jacquelyn Driver Hopper passed away April 14, 2016, peacefully with her family by her side, in Lakeland, Florida at the age of 85 years old.
Jackie was born in Griffin, Georgia on July 15, 1930. She enjoyed many years living in Florence and Cullman, Alabama before moving to Lakeland, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Emma Lee and Jefferson Morris Driver, and her beloved husband, Dewey A. Hopper.
She is survived by her three children, Keith (Linda) Hopper, Leigh (Fred) Stallings, and Liz (Dave) Netzler. Jackie has five grandchildren, Ashley Stallings, Jackie (DeLane) Harrison, Alex Stallings, Matthew (Erin) Clements, and Aubie Clements. Jackie has two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Savannah Harrison.
A service will be held April 23, 2016, in the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church, Lakeland, Florida, at 11 a.m.
A gathering of family and friends, to celebrate the life of Jackie, will be held at the home of Liz Netzler following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers /Dementia Association, alz.org or Good Shepherd Hospice of Lakeland at chaptershealth.org/giving.
