My mother, Mary J. Beckman, passed away on August 12, 2022 at 5:21 a.m., after succumbing to chronic kidney disease. Mary, formerly from Baltimore, Maryland, passed peacefully in her sleep at her home in Hokes Bluff, Alabama. She was 79.
Mary “Joyce” is survived by her daughter and only child, Shelly Wright, and her son-in-law, Lance Wright, Sr., along with 3 granddaughters, Brittani Tague, Katie Chamberlin, and Kelsey Tice, and a grandson, Lance Wright, Jr. She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, Lance Wright III and Max Wright. She is also sincerely missed by our 3 puppies; Dallas, Tanner, and Maci. Mary “Joyce” was predeceased by her husband, Paul H. Beckman III, (father) Joe Oliver, Sr., and (mother) Naomi Oliver.
There are no events planned, as Mom did not wish to have services. We honored her wishes.
Mom will be greatly missed by all of us as she was the center of our world. May she have a happy Heavenly reunion with my father who passed 14 years ago due to prostate cancer. Thank you for a wonderful life, Mom. We know you are watching over us. May you rest in peace. Until we meet again.
