Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Heath age 63, of Cragford, will be held Monday November 29, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Reverend Harold McCain officiating. Burial will follow in the Faith Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Heath passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. She was born in Randolph County but had lived for most of her life in Clay County, had worked for several years at Higgins Manufacturing and also with housekeeping at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She also enjoyed growing flowers, shopping, reading, and playing games on her phone, and was the primary caregiver for her son Mikey for the past 19 years up until his death in January.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jimmy Heath of Cragford, her daughter; Shannon Pilkington of Lineville, three sons; J.J. Heath and Bryan Heath of Decatur and also DeWayne Crawford (Amanda) of Lineville, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters, three brothers and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Hubert East and Elmer Ruth East, two sons; Waldo and Mikey Ray Heath, one daughter; Tammy Tanksley and one sister; Linda Baker.
Active pallbearers will be Austin Wilkinson, Andy Hernandez, Gavin East, Aaron Farrow, Doug Heath and Justin Gilmore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dawson Wilkinson and Aiden Heath.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Sunday November 28, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Monday
